Product Description
Non excitation voltage regulation refers to no-load voltage regulation, which can only be adjusted when the transformer is not energized, and is suitable for situations where voltage regulation requirements are not very strict.
Low loss non excited voltage regulating transformers and three-phase on load voltage regulating transformers (dry-type transformers) both refer to the voltage regulation method of transformer tap changers. The difference is that the voltage switch of low loss non excited voltage regulating transformers does not have the ability to switch gears with load, because this type of tap changer has a short-term disconnection process during the gear shifting process. Disconnecting the load current will cause arcing between the contacts, burning out the tap changers or short circuiting, so the transformer must be powered off during gear shifting. Therefore, it is generally used for transformers that do not have strict voltage requirements and do not require frequent gear adjustment. The tap changer of the three-phase on load tap changer can switch gears with load, because there is no short-term disconnection process during the shifting process of the on load tap changer. Through a transition resistor, it switches from one gear to another, so there is no arcing process of load current disconnection.
